Ever since I started working as a freelance Illustrator and animator in 2020 I have been on a path questioning the world around me and searching for ways to put imaginary worlds into our understanding of reality.
To me, this is the beauty of 'creation' or being a creative. It is a tool to, make the world a brighter, funnier and more colorful place to live in. I find my drive in the everyday things that occur around me, whether it is meeting a stranger, finding a book about a very specific topic or getting emotional watching a movie. The more I can move around in curiosity, the more my brain will come up with stories, images, colors, narratives, you name it.
I make because I witness the things around me. I make because other people will be able to see, to be fascinated, or to find out how they relate to an image. That makes the work a beautiful medium and a starting point for dialogue. Something people can relate to. To me thats the beauty of making things as a creative.
